Why support Middle East oil when you don't have to.
Why support oil from the Middle East if you don't have to? The EIA: Energy Information Administration publishes official information on US oil companies that purchase their oil from that region. Sunoco and Shell get none from the region, while Citgo gets a mere 1%. Here's a partial list.

Don't ever chose Shell. They've devastated Nigeria and are still in Nigerian courts fighting the clean up costs. Check out MEND, you'll have a better idea of what they're fighting for and why. Their tactics are horrible, but the cause is worth knowing.
Stop being racist folks, Grow up and think like the new generation, not like our old farts
Please explain James, wheres the racist part? I was just putting out there the origin of the oil for certain companies, as it seems we are in a non ending war right in the middle of all that mid east oil. As Union Girl above pointed out Shell allegedly screwed up Nigeria. I'm sure the exploitation follows everywhere such a highly pricey item. Personally I would just boycott oil all together, if I could just learn to walk more. Tell you the truth, it was a slow news day. Just figured the story would drop fast.
