Follow up to 'E-Activism can help our returning vets to become workers, not homeless. Help fix the insufficient GI Bill.

Regardless of your views on the war, our returning troops need to get the help they deserve from their former employer, the US government. The last thing we need is more homelessness.

This is a follow up story to: E-Activism can help our returning vets to become workers, not homeless. Help fix the insufficient GI Bill.

Dear Joseph,

Our push for a new GI Bill is really picking up steam. This morning, the Today Show on NBC ran a great segment featuring Todd Bowers, IAVA's Director of Government Affairs.

Todd served with the Marines in Iraq and was injured in Fallujah. When he came home, he couldn't afford to finish his education, and he was forced to drop out.

Take a minute now to watch the clip:

It's becoming clear that we're at a critical moment in this process. New Senators and Representatives are signing on to the legislation (bill number S.22 / H.R.2702) almost every day, and the media is taking notice. But there's still work to do.

We're going to keep pushing until this generation of vets has a GI Bill that lets them go to college. And your support is crucial in that fight. Please consider contributing to help us keep the pressure on.

Sincerely,

Paul
